About

Fur-Kid Care

My name is Krystyna. I opened Fur-Kid Care 3 years ago after losing my nursing career to an injury. While I was welcomed back to my facility after recovery, I felt I was no longer a safe medical provider with the limitations I was left with. I had undergone 8 reparative surgeries with little success. I wasn’t willing to put my patient’s safety in jeopardy for a paycheck.

I spent about a year trying to figure out a new career. What do you do when you only have experience in one field for 16 years? Well, you look for that same passion you lost. I loved my job and needed to find another way to be a caregiver. Ironically, I hadn’t even thought of pet sitting, someone else suggested it because of my love for animals and my little zoo at home So I “gave it a shot”, in a matter of 2 weeks I was full time and have been ever since!

Now you know my story and how I got here! But what does all this mean for fur-parents?

Full time means your babies are my only priority. This is not a side hustle like most other private sitters. You will likely never hear “I am not available” when needing care. It allows me to provide last minute and emergency visits, something most don’t think about until there is one.

My medical background means they can be safe with me, as I am used to constantly watching and evaluating for any abnormalities. My training in wound care, skin abnormalities, subcutaneous fluids, injections, medication management and range of motion mean they can be any age, with any condition. I will confidently and more importantly, properly be able to provide whatever care they might need, now or as they age.

A storefront with the name 'Dog is Cool' prominently displayed in yellow letters. The entrance is secured with a mesh gate and features two bright orange banners advertising services such as 'Banho & Tosa.' A tree stands on the sidewalk next to the entrance. A white car and two red motorcycles are parked on the street in front of the building, which is surrounded by a fence with barbed wire at the top.

Fur-Kid Care took wonderful care of my pets while I was away. They are reliable and truly love animals!

A light-colored dog is positioned next to a stationary silver scooter with a visible headlight and company logo. The dog appears to be sniffing or licking the ground, tethered to the vehicle with a leash. The pavement beneath is slightly textured with scattered dirt patches.
